THINK LIKE A MATHEMATICIAN INCURSION
Our Think Like a Mathematician incursion involves students exploring and unpacking the positive learning dispositions of a mathematician and applying them to a range of maths puzzles and challenges.
At the beginning of the workshop, students will have the opportunity to reflect on the learning dispositions that they are currently displaying towards mathematics and the impact that this has on their mindset, confidence and learning. Throughout the session, we will debunk many of the common maths myths that are widely believed by both students and adults and provide students with strategies that will help them to build on and strengthen their maths skills, understandings and strategies. This workshop is a fun, hands-on and interactive experience that will engage even the most reluctant maths learners!
