This set of Maths Myths Posters support teachers to debunk some of the most harmful maths myths that are commonly believed by both students and adults, due to both direct and indirect messages sent by teachers and parents in the classroom and at home. All of these myths have been disproven by science, yet have a negative impact on student mindsets and learning on a daily basis. We have provided 3 different posters (each in colour and black and white), that include language suitable for different age groups (F-2, 3-4, 5-7). We recommend unpacking each myth with students over time (e.g. 1 myth a day) and providing students with tasks that are focussed on debunking each myth (see our Instagram or other teacher resources for task ideas).
